When I worked at Paramount Pictures, prior to founding YogaForce, I had lunch in The Commissary…LOTS! It was fun to see all the actors and directors looking like normal, rather short people talking business. One day, Janice, one of my friends who wanted to work at Paramount, was 20 minutes late for our lunch.
She was so nice, it was very unlike her to be late and this was in the early ’90’s when we ALL did NOT have cell phones. Breathlessly she appeared. “Oh My God, My Car Broke Down on the 405 and Jay Leno picked me up and gave me a ride! Annie, so sorry I am late!” She was so happy because not only did Jay give her a ride, he also paid for her car to be towed and fixed!
I will never forget that story. He wanted nothing in return, but I know that Janice sent a Thank You Note. He is a simple and lovely guy and I wish him well. JAY IS A REAL, GOOD GUY! With audiences averaging about four million this week, Leno may be gone from late night TV, but he certainly will never be forgotten!
Much later, even though it was under CRAZY circumstances, during the first ever YOGA EXPO in Los Angeles, I was happy to be on THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO! Here is a clip with Kristin McGee and Me. HA! It is sexist, raunchy and wrong on several levels at our expense. But, we were on THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO and we had a BLAST!!!
