Is Your Yoga / Pilates Teacher Watching YOU?

OK, so I will admit it.  When I have 50-500 students in a class, I cannot watch all of them!  Does your front foot heel draw a line into your back mid arch?  It sounds like a TRAIN lyric from one of their hit songs  Hey, Soul Sister!  (BTW, Big YogaForce Fans...)  But, seriously, you DO need to align your body when doing all floor exercise or you can hurt yourself.

ESP and How To Be A Better Teacher

"Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose." -- Helen Keller

Yesterday I was briefly thinking about Anne Bancroft for no apparent reason.  I had met her over dessert when I was with Kristin McGee in LA for the first Yoga Expo and the TONIGHT SHOW a few years ago.  Annie, as she told me her good friends called her, was lovely and so down to earth.

Align Your Neck in Yoga and Pilates

I am currently getting certified in Stott Pilates.  It is intensive.  My YogaForce A-Line Mat works well for both yoga and Pilates.  I especially love it if you have any neck issues.  You can use the A-Line as a hammock,  to help you relax your neck when you do abdominal work.  Stand by for the video.  Alignment is key!  If you grab the wide part of the Mat, you use abs and arms and no neck muscles!  The Mat turned out to be a lot smarter than I thought!
