Almost 17 million people tuned into ABC’s 20/20 Bruce Jenner interview with Diane Sawyer on Friday. https://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/26/business/media/bruce-jenners-transgender-announcement-draws-16-8-million-on-abc-news.html?_r=0 His “secret was the only true story on the show, Keeping Up with The Kardashians,” he has identified in his soul as a women. He dreams as a woman. And he wants to make a change and help other people on the way.

This was a historical moment for the transgender community. Bruce Jenner was not truely happy being regarded as the best athlete on the face of the earth in 1976 because he was ” living a lie. ” He is very brave and provided great insight on being transgender.

It was an educational interview. He expressed himself with passion and dignity. His message may in fact help others who are struggling. And teaching compassion and tolerance is a true gift.

Most women who are his age, try to fight the aging process. He seems to want to embrace it. It is refreshing that he said that his aspirations for his newfound freedom are modest. He said he wanted to ” be able to have my nail polish on long enough that it actually chips off.”
